Meet the Team
Rene Guerrero
Founder & Managing Partner. Rene has worked in the “biz” for over 25 years in San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Colorado. When I was growing up both my parents worked, and my mom hated to cook so I started to experiment. Early on my creations were a flop but my mom & dad did not mind, thank God! As long as my mom did not have to cook she was ok with it. After some time I got better at cooking. My mom’s favorite things for me to cook were egg rolls and fried chicken. I have always talked about having my own place and I started to develop Madhatters Tea House & Cafe over 17 years ago. We wanted a place for people to enjoy each others company. We wanted a place that was a reflection of it’s community. We wanted a place where you could “slow down”, read a book, sip tea, have a party, have a business lunch or just get away from it all….Our commitment to excellent service and our menu keep our return customers for life.
Juanita Cuellar
Gina is my new partner at Madhatters Tea House & Cafe in King William. She has purchased the first license agreement for this location and we are very proud of her ability to go from “cook” to “kitchen manager” to “front of house” manager to now “Owner Operator”. Congrats! I remember when she first started, she was a bit shy and at the very same time she was a “fireball”. I knew early on that she was great and had the ability to have her own store one day. Together we will continue to develop additional partnerships and ensure the continued success of Madhatters Tea House & Cafe.
Jason White
